About Labrador-Grenfell Health
Labrador-Grenfell Health provides quality health and community services to a population of 37,000. The region covers the communities north of Bartlett’s Harbour on the Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland and all of Labrador. Corporate headquarters is located in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. The region is a vast geographic area comprising of approximately 120,000 square miles (hectares)—that’s larger than the entire United Kingdom!
Labrador-Grenfell Health employs approximately 1,390 staff and operates twenty-two facilities, including 3 hospitals, 3 community health centers, 14 community clinics/nursing stations and 3 long-term care facilities. In addition, Child, Youth and Family Services offices are located throughout the region.
Our Allied Health Professionals are an important part of many of the services provided by Labrador-Grenfell Health. Our integrated health and community services organization delivers both primary and secondary health services to the residents of the region, including acute care, diagnostic services, continuing and long term care, health promotion, mental health and addictions, family and rehabilitation services, child protection and intervention services, youth services, adoptions, child care services, residential services and community health nursing.
