About Western Health
Western Health is a fully integrated health and community services organization, which offers community based programs and acute and longterm care services. The community-based services include; health promotion, health protection, mental health and addictions services, community corrections, child, youth, and family services, child care services, community support programs, intervention services and community health nursing services. Primary health care, secondary acute care, adult rehabilitation and long term care services are provided through the Authority’s many health facilities.
Western Health also operates the Western Regional School of Nursing, houses the Clinical Skills Assessment and Training (CSAT) Program for the Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, and is a teaching center for many health professionals.
