Description:

The Division of Gynecologic Oncology and The Women’s and Child Health Program of Eastern Health is seeking locum  Gynecologic Oncologist in Newfoundland and Labrador,Canada until September, 2019.

The Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Eastern Health presently employs two full time academic physicians as there is a fully accredited residency training program affiliated with the service. The successful candidate will be expected to assume one third of the clinical load and contribute to education of trainees. Call coverage will be equally shared. The clinical program is based in St. John’s, the province’s tertiary care center with a catchment area of approximately 500,000 people in Newfoundland and Labrador. Travel is not required as the programme has extensive, state of the art, videoconferencing capabilities.

Qualifications:

Qualified applicants must have an MD, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada specialty training in Obstetrics & Gynecology (or equivalent) and subspecialty fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology (or equivalent). Laparoscopic oncology experience is preferred. Training and experience in systemic chemotherapy is required

All candidates must be eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Remuneration:

Remuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador.
