Definition of work: Central Health is seeking a General Practitioner for the Lewisporte area.  Along with coverage of their own practice located in a private clinic, the physician will be responsible for coverage at the North Haven Manor. This facility is a long-term care facility and also includes cottage units designed for independent living. The complex operates an After-Hours Clinic for emergencies with services provided by 5 family practitioners and the successful physician will be responsible for a 1 in 3 call rotation. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.

Required qualifications:

• Eligible for registration and licensure as a General Practitioner with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador
• Satisfy credentialing requirements of Central Health
• Earned Medical Degree
• Work experience is an asset.
• Consistent demonstration of Central Health’s corporate values.
• A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
• A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority

Salary:                                                Fee-for-Service (as per the Memorandum of Agreement and Department of  Health MCP Billing)
