Eastern Health invites expressions of interest for a full-time Endocrinologist within the Medicine Program of Eastern Health.

Eastern Health is the largest integrated health organization in Newfoundland and Labrador (NL). It employs over 13,000 employees, provides services to a regional population of more than 300,000 and is responsible for provincial tertiary health services.

The Endocrinology division of Eastern Health is a collegial atmosphere, and clinical space along with administration support will be provided. The oncall rotas are shared among the division members. Endocrinologists participate in internal medicine Clinical teaching unit (CTU) coverage.

The patient population in Newfoundland and Labrador includes the full breadth of endocrine disorders, including genetic endocrine disorders of which we have several large kindreds. The Endocrinologist will join an enriched teaching environment that is affiliated with Memorial University’s Medical School and participation in teaching of students and house staff is expected.

To be considered candidates must hold a medical degree and have successfully completed a residency in internal medicine as well as fellowship training in endocrinology and be eligible for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification (or equivalent). Additionally applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Salary and benefits for this position are to be paid in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in NL and commensurate with the level of training and experience.
