Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, NL. This opportunity is available immediately. Duties: (Included but not limited to) -The Anesthetist at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital is a key member of the surgical team, and is responsible for the provision of anesthetic services to surgical patients of the facility. - The Physician is directly involved in the care of the patient pre and post- operatively, they assume responsibility for pre-admission anesthesia clinics as well as pain management post-operatively. - The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care. Patient and Worker safety at the Labrador Health Centre is a priority; as such, the successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to partner with all team members by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements. - Coverage of on call commitments for Anesthesia, including weekends and holidays. - Work throughout the Labrador-Grenfell Health region may be required as necessary. - The successful candidate will work as a part of a Team of physicians and nurses to provide the required services identified above. |
Qualifications: | -To be considered, candidates must be eligible for registration and licensure as an Anesthesiologist with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador; the criteria for licensure are outlined on the CPSNL website (www.cpsnl.ca) - Additionally, the successful candidate must satisfy credentialing requirements of Labrador-Grenfell Health. - Earned Medical Degree - Work experience is an asset - A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance - A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority |

Remuneration: | Salary: - $220, 147 - $262, 714 (Remuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador) |
