The Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology at the Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre, in St. John’s, NL is seeking expressions of interest for a Pediatric Anesthesiologist.

The Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre is a 71 bed, tertiary care referral hospital for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The Janeway is a teaching hospital affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador (MUNL) and has a residency program in Pediatrics with most pediatric subspecialties represented.

The successful candidate will be involved in medical student and resident teaching. Through strong formal affiliations with Memorial University, and on the recommendation of the Discipline Chair, the successful candidate may be eligible for a clinical faculty appointment in the Academic Department of Pediatrics and may be expected to participate in collaborative research activities and scholarship (ie: teaching).


To be considered, candidates must hold a medical degree, have certification by the Royal College Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Anesthesiology (or equivalent), and have completed fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesia. All candidates must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador. The Pediatric Anesthesiologist should have experience working in a tertiary care setting with neonatal cases and can perform call independently.


Remuneration will be in accordance with the Pediatric Anesthesia Alternative Payment Plan (APP).
